Sideways view across quarry throat, looking down the valley. It's clear to see how the lower quarry access was kept clear between the encroaching waste bank (left) and the waste used to build up the access ramp (right). Waste was also tipped in middle distance right, at the far end of the quarry site, before the land returns to greenery. The Cwm Ebol tramway diverged right in this view past the later tips, to hug the valley as it descended.
